Holy Outlaws isn't just an album title—it's a statement. Throughout Jewish history, in practically every country we've lived in, there's been resistance to the Jewish way of life at some point. This album is about being unapologetically Jewish in the face of adversity and getting down to do the dirty work needed for the survival and growth of Jewish life.
Every one of the Chabad Rebbes has been locked up in prison for trying to raise the sparks of holiness in the places they've been. That made them Holy Outlaws, as far as I'm concerned. That's the spirit behind these songs.
The Album That's Coming September 1st
Holy Outlaws drops September 1st, 2025, and it's unlike anything I've done before. This is raw, gritty country rock with Torah truth running through every verse. It's ten tracks of faith, fire, and the kind of music that'll make you feel something real.
"I carry a song that was sung in stone / Through the heart of a people through flesh and bone" — that line from "Forged With Steel In The City Of Gold" pretty much sums up what this whole album is about. These aren't just songs; they're battle cries wrapped in melody.

The Ballads That'll Break Your Heart
Two tracks on this album are gonna have you reaching for your lighter at concerts. "Guard The Ones I'd Die For" and "Just Me And The One Above" are country rock ballads that hit different. They're the kind of songs you'll sing with your whole soul.
"Guard The Ones I'd Die For" is a prayer disguised as a song: "I can't be their shield but You still can / So I lay it down HaShem that's the plan." It's about loving people so much you'd give anything to protect them, but knowing you've got to trust HaShem with what's beyond your control.
"Just Me And The One Above" strips everything down to the essentials: "Just me and the One above / A quiet place no noise just love / I sit in the dirt I think of His name / He don't change He don't play games." Pure, honest connection with the Almighty.
The Headbangers
Then we've got the tracks that'll have you headbanging and boot stomping. "Valley Of Death" and "Forged With Steel In The City Of Gold" bring that Jewish tough guy outlaw vibe hard.
"Valley Of Death" doesn't mess around: "The devil put a bounty right on my head / He said I want him alive or better yet dead / But I pray to Hashem every night in my bed / And He rides with me through the valley of death." It's about walking through danger with faith as your armor.
"Forged With Steel In The City Of Gold" is pure fire from start to finish: "I was forged with steel in the City of Gold / Where the stones remember the stories they told." This one's about being shaped by Jerusalem's ancient strength and carrying that power wherever you go.

The Anthems You'll Scream Along To
"Won't Give Up My Faith For No One" and "This Chosen Soul Here Ain't Afraid" are the hooks that'll get stuck in your head for weeks. High energy, anthemic, the kind of songs you'll be screaming along to whether you want to or not.
"Won't give up my faith for no one" — that hook hits like a hammer. It's about standing firm when the world wants you to bend. "They circle me like buzzard hawks / Waitin' for my heart to stop / But I walk slow I don't run / Won't give up my faith for no one."
"This Chosen Soul Here Ain't Afraid" doubles down on that energy: "This chosen soul here ain't afraid / Built on truth that never decayed / I don't bow I don't trade / Stand my ground truth don't fade." It's Jewish pride cranked up to eleven.
The Parable That'll Make You Think
"Break That Bull" takes a different approach — it's a mid-tempo rocker that uses a rodeo cowboy and an angry bull to explain the constant struggle with the animal soul. In Torah terms, we call it the Yetzer Hara, but I use "devil" in the lyrics to keep it authentic to the country rock genre.
"Steel gate slams I lock my jaw / It's me and that bull and a higher law" — the whole song builds this metaphor of a cowboy trying to break a wild bull, which represents the daily fight we all have with our lower instincts. "Break that bull tame that fire / An eighth-second fight with your soul's desires."

More Than Music
There are three more tracks that round out the album. "Ain't No Higher Power Than Hashem" is exactly what it sounds like — a declaration of faith that doesn't apologize for anything.
"Don't You Forget" takes on the heavy topic of remembrance and justice. It is an English adaptation of the Av Harachamim prayer.Since October 7th, my Rabbi asked me to sing Av Harachamim for our Shul during the Yizkor service. I made a point to learn the meaning of the original Hebrew words in order to connect with them when I sing it for our little Chabad shul. This adaptation in English is how I truly feel in my heart when doing it.
"My Soul Burns Hotter In The Dark" is about finding that extra strength of faith in God even when everything around you goes black.
Each song comes from a real place. These aren't your typical radio-friendly platitudes disguised in the Jewish version of bubblegum pop— they're honest conversations about faith, struggle, identity, and what it means to be Jewish in a world that never make it easy for you. It's a psychological sword and shield (or revolver) that weaponizes our faith in God against those that wish to destroy it.
"My soul burns hotter in the dark / When the lights go out y'all will see my spark / I don't flinch I don't back down / When pressure hits I hold my ground."
Ready For Something Real?
Holy Outlaws isn't background music. It's not something you throw on while you're doing dishes. These are songs that demand your attention, that make you think about who you are and what you stand for.

"Ain't no higher power than Hashem / He's the one Daniel called in the lion's den / Through the sweat and the blood I'll rise again / 'Cause there ain't no higher power than Hashem."
